When a relationship breaks down, it's important to get expert, sympathetic
advice as soon as possible. Our Family department can provide fast, friendly
advice at a reasonable cost and Legal Aid is still available to those on
low income.
We are one of the few firms of solicitors who still provide a dedicated
Welfare Benefits Advice Service which is often important when family finances
are stretched.
As we have been awarded the Specialist Quality Mark by the Legal Service
Commission, both our private clients and those receiving Legal Aid can
be reassured that the quality of our service and advice is regularly checked
by them.
Our Family department is headed by Maria Fogg,
who is a Member of the Law Society's Family Law Panel. We deal
with all aspects of relationship breakdown, including divorce, cohabitation,
financial matters, children disputes and care proceedings. We specialise
in domestic violence and abuse and can grant Emergency Legal Aid to take
immediate court action when necessary.
